Move your app · Lovable
Deploy your Lovable app to your own domain and accounts
Lovable gets an app working fast, on its own hosting and plan. Moving it to accounts you own gives you your domain, your database and your bill. Lovable has built two kinds of app: React single-page apps (before May 2026) and TanStack Start apps that make their pages on a server (since). Launchpad tells which you have, and what each needs.

What carries over
Its Supabase database, when the project is in your own Supabase account: the app keeps using it, and nothing new is created. On Lovable Cloud, the data moves to a project of yours, users and passwords included.
What to watch for
Older projects need a small vercel.json, or pages like /dashboard 404. Newer ones are often built for Cloudflare Workers: Launchpad spots it and gives you the request to paste into Lovable so they run on Vercel.
Launchpad recognises a Lovable app by lovable-tagger in package.json, or the README's link to the Lovable project, and adjusts what it sets up before anything is created.
The steps
- In Lovable, connect GitHub, so the code is in a repository of yours.
- Run the free launch check on it, or upload a zip: it finds the security holes and what will break.
- Paste the fix request into Lovable's chat, and let it push the changes.
- Import the repository in Launchpad. It recognises the Lovable app, picks the setup it needs, and deploys it on your domain.
- On Lovable Cloud? Export the database in Lovable and load it with launchpad db restore. Your users keep their passwords.
Problems Lovable apps hit, and their fixes
- Pages show 404 when refreshed or opened directly
- New Lovable app shows 404 on every page on Vercel
- Works locally, blank or broken in production: missing environment variables
- Supabase tables without Row Level Security: anyone can read and change your data
- Supabase service-role key exposed in the browser
- OpenAI or Anthropic API key exposed in the browser
- Anyone can run up your OpenAI bill
- .env file and API keys committed to GitHub
- API routes and admin pages anyone can call
- Move your data off Lovable Cloud to your own Supabase
Questions
Can I keep building in Lovable?
Yes. The code lives in your GitHub repository, so keep building in Lovable: each push deploys. The changes Launchpad asks for keep Lovable's own preview working.
Do I lose my users or data?
No. If the Supabase project is yours, the app keeps using it. If it's on Lovable Cloud, export the database and launchpad db restore loads it into your own Supabase project, passwords included.
Is Launchpad part of Lovable?
No. Launchpad is an independent product by Axonscape. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Lovable; it recognises apps made with it so moving them is easier.
